About Us
About the Site
Codenamed “project TTT (project triple-tee),” nandake is a product of the collective brainstorming minds of jphip.com writers, boykun, Ping and tenkei. Created in 2007 under boykun’s old webspace, we had determined to write reviews about anything and everything. If it could be used, owned, put on, eaten, or even looked at, we would review it to inform others about the existence and worth of various places and things. After a brief hiatus when boykun chose not to renew his webspace and hosting, nandake returns in 2011 to review everything the sun can shine on once again.
About the Name
Nandake is a Japanese slang term used when trying to remember something that you should know. Literally translated it means, “What was that thing again?” This term was chosen because of the general nature of our site, where anything and everything can be reviewed.

About Nan-chan, the Pink Hotdog Octopus
The octopus mascot used for the nandake logo is no ordinary octopus. For one, he’s pink. He’s also actually a hotdog… cut into the shape of an octopus. Nan-chan was created on August 2, 2011 after it was decided a week before that a pink hotdog octopus would be the mascot of nandake through a random Google+ hangout. All other details shall be left out to protect the interests of those who created him.
