Took a little break while life got mad busy, but it’s Sunday once again! It’s time for some Short Thoughts, I know you’ve been craving them.
★STAR GUiTAR – Blind Carbon Copy
A remix album of an already great album in and of itself. I really liked Carbon Copy when it came out at the beginning of the year, and Blind is a nice twist on it. I think most of the remixes were done in-house, but there are a few guest mixes. Anyway, check it out for some great electronic and dance tunes.
2NE1 – Lonely (Japanese Ver.)
I’m not really fond of different language versions of songs. I’m more the type to just say, hey make some new music. Lonely is already a great song, so it’s still fine in Japanese. Usually I’ll dislike the new language version because it doesn’t sound right, but here it’s just fine. Also, the PV is actually better than the original Korean version, and I’m very pleased that they shot an actual new video for it.

Jay Larson
I recently saw an episode of Comedy Central Presents featuring Jay Larson. Not sure how old the episode is, or how long Jay Larson’s been around making a name for himself, but I really enjoyed his stand-up. I can’t really put a finger on what it was exactly, but the guy is just rather funny. His style seems nostalgic, but somehow still fresh. Check him out if you get a chance.
The Lion King 3D
Recently Disney rereleased The Lion King for a limited engagement in theatres and converted the entire movie to 3D. I love The Lion King but I don’t really like 3D movies. Anyway, the 3D worked well for some scenes, not so well for others, but all in all a nice treat for fans.
WWE Night of Champions
I was going to write a full review for this WWE pay-per-view, but it’s been a week now. Anyway, overall it was an okay show. Mark Henry taking the strap from Randy Orton is a freaking joke though; Henry is not championship material so I’m not sure what WWE is thinking. There was a lot of bitching about Kelly Kelly not dropping the belt to Beth Phoenix in her hometown. Their match was actually quite good and probably the best Divas’ match in a really long time. I have no problem with Kelly Kelly keeping the belt since she’s been proving herself to be worth the money they’ve spent on her and is actually improving her skills. I would’ve liked to see Triple H put C.M. Punk over, but we’ll see where creative is taking that storyline first, I guess.
