Pomme Frites Header

Located near Greenwich Village, this Belgian style fry shop offers up some of the best deep fried fries I’ve ever had. However, the draw of the shop is not due to the way they cook the fries, which seems to be a pretty normal way to cook fries in my opinion. It is because of the various types of sauces that you can buy with the fries. From Pomegranate Teriyaki to Sweet Mango Chutney Mayo, the sauces are the real prize of this shop.

If you live in New York City, live in the near vicinity, or are planning a trip, you owe it to yourself to try out these fries. Though the shop is quite small, the furnishings are quite interesting with it’s huge stack of potato sacks in the back. Their thick wooden tables contain holes for you to stick your paper cone full of fries right in there for a perfect fit. It could be tough to find a seat though because this place can become quite crowded. The portions are generous, with a regular size large enough for a two-person snack. At $4.75 including sauce, this is a pretty good value for a great experience in Manhattan.
